Cerec is the world’s only single visit system for the fabrication of high quality, long lasting, ceramic dental restorations (crowns, inlays, veneers).
In just one single visit we can provide patients with permanent, all ceramic, tooth coloured crowns, inlays and veneers, and because Cerec really is just a one visit system this means fewer injections, less drilling, and less time out of your hectic schedule for dental care.
A Cerec tooth restoration isn’t just convenient, it also healthy. Many years ago, dentist had few options to repair decayed or damaged teeth other than amalgam, gold, and other metals. With Cerec, your dentist can use strong, tooth coloured ceramic materials to restore your teeth to their natural strength, beauty and function. These materials closely match the composition of natural tooth structure, this means that when you have hot or cold food and drink your restoration and tooth expand and contract at almost identical rates, reducing the chance of cracks.

How does CEREC work?
CEREC is used in one of 2 ways, you may have decay in your tooth and we need
to remove this and replace that part of your tooth with a white filling, or you
may already have an old dark grey amalgam that you wish to replace with a new
CEREC white filling.
Once we have removed either the decay or old amalgam filling we scan your
tooth with a highly sensitive digital camera, this takes 1000s of pictures of
your tooth within a second and digitises them in to a 3D image on our computer
screen.
The computer software then carefully measures your digital tooth and
digitally replaces the missing portion with new tooth structure, the computer
literally rebuilds your tooth to what is was like before treatment.
The computer then sends this information to our milling machine, which
carefully cuts your new tooth out of an industrially manufactured block of tooth
coloured ceramic using fine diamond tip instruments.
If you like, you can sit and watch you new tooth being born... how amazing.

After around 30 minutes your new tooth will be fully born, we can test that
it fits perfectly in your mouth, then we glaze it in our furnace at 950 degrees
C to ensure it has a perfect shine.
We then fit your new tooth and you can leave the practice straight away.
This whole process has the advantage of saving you time, it means you
only need one injection and you have none of the usual nasty
impression goo in your mouth... a refreshing change to conventional
dentistry.
