Our Team of Dentists and Hygienists Meet the Team at Warlingham Green. Warlingham Green Dental Clinic was set up by Richard in November 2004 and has grown from strength to strength with thanks to our patients who have kindly recommended us and our services. Most of our referrals are via recommendation- and that's how we like it... Let me introduce you to my team.         Dr Richard Clarke-Irons Dental Surgeon and Principal Dentist Qualified at Birmingham Dental School in 1997. I am really keen on 'preventative' or minimally invasive dentistry. This is my ultimate goal to try and help my patients limit the amount of dentistry they require. In other words, once we've fixed your dental problems we want to help you keep it that way. I work very closely with our hygienists Catherine and Poppy to achieve this. Infact regular patients of mine will often see the hygienists a lot more frequently than they see me! This not only save my patients money, but they are likely to need less fillings or injections. It is the kind of dentistry that I would like to receive myself.         Mrs Catherine Roberts Hygienist Qualified at Eastman Hospital in 1996 Catherine is a very busy lady, she is a Brown Owl, teaches swimming, she appears in and sometimes produces the Sanderstead panto...'Oh yes she does!' She is an incredibly good hygienist with a loyal following.         Mrs Poppy Walsh Hygienist Qualified at Kings College in 2004 Poppy is another talented hygienist with a keen interest in 'long term prevention of gum disease and dental decay'.She is also into horses like Tam (which was great until she broke her leg!) She has a super manure recipe which she tests on her home grown veg. Poppy is also an 'Early Responder' to people in medical difficulty near to where she lives (would have been really useful to herself when she broke her leg in the middle of nowhere...alone!!). She will race to help people in situations where it would take an ambulance a long time to get there. If you see her outside the practice, you are probably in trouble!!(Oh the irony!)         Mrs Louise Smith Dental Nurse / Receptionist / P.A. to Richard / General organiser of all things Richard! Qualified at Guys Hospital in 1985 She's got loads of qualifications including a special one in sedation, which she is so keen to tell everyone about it I may put it on the site for everyone to see. She runs mission control (reception) in her own little way until Martyn turns up on a friday and re-organises everything in his own big way.         Mrs Tamara Shipway Dental Nurse Qualified City and Guilds 2008 Tam is the epitome of dedication, she arrives early, always looking to improve, comes up with the best ideas, and cleans up after me! (and her rabbit Chiko). Tam is developing her skills so fast she'll soon have her own clinic.         Mr Martyn Berry Receptionist and Richard's Father-in-Law 'I'm here to keep my eye on him' (We believe you from that photo!) Martyn has helped us out from the beginning and has a passion for I.T. problems. Martyn is probably the most selfless person I know, he spends an incredible amount of time raising money for the 'New Addington christmas Lights Appeal' and volunteers in local conservation projects. He is also stage crew for his daughters dance school, 'Dance with Grace' (shameless). He also looks after 8 grand children on a regular basis. It is quite amazing he has time to help us at all.
